Bits of Bliss: Come to a Garden Party!

From the sign across in this picture, we have Diana Knowlton, Marilyn Foskuhl, Nikki Taylor, Toni Bailey and Loretta Liesch giving you a preview of the hat show!

You're invited to a garden party!

Today we had wonderful lunch with some lovely ladies at the Hammel House here in Waynesville. These ladies are members of a women's group at the Greenmont-Oakpark Community Church in Kettering, OH called WINGS, short for Women in God's Service.

They have very graciously invited us to participate in their annual garden party, which will be held August 15, 2009. They will be having a fashion show with our vintage hats and their tables will be quite lovely covered in some of our vintage tablecloths.

If you attend this elegant affair, you will have the opportunity to purchase any of our items on display and 10% will go back to the ladies to help them raise money for their group. In addition to the fashion show, there will also be delicious food and drawings!

If you are interested in more information on this event please call Nikki Taylor at 1-937-427-1774.

Blue Blog Party!

I am very excited to be joining the lovely Etsy Cottage Style Ning Ladies in their Blue Blog Party! This is my very first blog party to boot!

http://etsycottagestyle.blogspot.com/2009/04/blue-blog-party.html

I thought I would share with you a few of my favorite blue finds:

Don't you just love this sweet netted blue vintage hat? Clara Estelle wears it so well don't you think?

Technically, this gossip bench started out with this nasty gold corduroy upholstery but a quick trip up the street to the fabric shack and a few minutes with scissors and a staple gun soon fixed that!

This little geisha girl just begged to come home with me. She is going to have a special spot on my tree next year.

Aren't the graphics great on these?

This darling find is actually part of a pair. You can see her with her sister, dressed in yellow, in our b&m shop and in our etsy shop.

I hope you've enjoyed looking at some of our blue finds. I'm going to go and check out some of my fellow hostesses' blue offerings now!
